Here is our air conditioning maintenance check list:
- AIR FILTERS: Changing your air filters regularly will protect furnace and maintain indoor air quality. Clogged filters can decrease the airflow and stop the heating unit from working.
- EVAPORATOR & CONDENSER COIL: Cleaning the condenser and evaporator coils is essential part of maintenance. Dirt and debris can reduce efficiency and stress the system’s mechanical parts.
- REFRIGERANT LEVELS: Checking refrigerant levels of your HVAC system annually. An incorrect amount of refrigerant makes a compressor work too hard, reducing the efficiency and longevity of the system.
- ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS: Inspect for broken, loose or damaged electrical connections. We will tighten or replace them if needed.
- THERMOSTAT: Check the thermostat to be sure it is calibrating correctly at the set temperature of your comfort.
- VENTS: Check and ensure the vents are properly opened and/ or closed for proper airflow.
- FANS & MOTORS: Inspect fan blower on the outdoor unit and the fan blower on the indoor unit (motor, fan wheel and housing). Older blowers may include a drive belt that should be inspected and adjusted or replaced as needed.
- DRAIN LINE: Flush and clean drain line to prevent any blockage or clogs.
